Another yearly event for our group is upon us. The nominations and election of the alumni officers. Without this group of people we wouldn\\\'t be able to help out the band and also reconnect so many of us. We would really like to get some more people involved in the direction of the group. Over the years we have had so people ask what they could do to help and this is it. With a little amount of time you can help keep the current band going and bring even more folks back together. So please consider being an active part in our group.

On a personal note I will not be running for President again this year. Being on the marching band staff and running the alumni doesn\\\'t give me enough time to do both equally. So the alumni group tends to suffer which I don\\\'t think is fair. Also I truly believe its time for some new faces to keep this group going into the future. Once again the band parents are holding a flea market at Ryan. We would like to get a table like last year and sell your unwanted stuff. This turned out to be a great fundraiser for us and all proceeds go right back to the band. So start gathering your stuff!  We will be collecting your donations on Thursday 8/27 and Thursday 9/10 at Ryan from 6:30 - 8:30pm.

Do you like baseball? Do your kids like baseball? Are you friends with fans of the game? The Alumni Association has a fantastic new fundraiser on tap for all of you! Come and spend an evening with the Alumni Association and the Philadelphia Phillies, the 2009 World Series Champions
On Thursday, July 23, the Phillies are hosting the San Diego Padres in a make up game. The game will start at 7:05 pm. Tickets are $20 apiece and must be purchased prior to game day. This means a family of four can enjoy a fantastic baseball experience for less than what it costs to see a game!
In addition, that night is a Hatfield Phillies Franks Dollar Dog Night! Each Hot Dog that you purchase at the stadium that night will only cost you a dollar! This is a unique way to experience baseball and create memories that will stay with your children forever!
NO TICKETS will be sold by the Association on the day of the game and ALL proceeds will benefit the Archbishop Ryan Marching Band Alumni Association. This fundraiser can go a long way towards meeting our financial goals for 2009: providing more scholarships for marching band members, purchasing new equipment for the band.
